My purpose in life is to help others who are in need of help for themselves; I have been told that I am an inspiration to many because of all my strength that project out of me and onto others. I was born with Scoliosis and that type of Scoliosis that I have, children who are born with it aren’t able to walk, but in my case it was different because I do walk. I have been study on from doctors from all over the world because of how rare my case is. I pretty much grow up at Shriners hospital of San Francisco, and had to go through all different kinds of surgery as I was growing up. Growing up in that kind of environment me realize at a very young age that I someday wanted to go back and help out families like mine when we first were brought to the USA from El Salvador for my medical treatment. Shriners, is known for bring families from foreign countries and providing them with medical visas, so the children are able to receive their medical treatment. I always told myself that I someday would come back and work for them as a medical social worker just like the social worker who helped me and my family.
My mission is to always provide support to my community and those who are I need of help. Building a strong relationship with them to gain their trust and understand the different struggles one goes through to get by in life. To provide that little comfort that one may need at that moment in life to be able to value their sense of being. To inspire people by my own struggles in life that I have overcome and has brought me to where I am now. You can accomplish anything in life if you set your mind to it. There is no one that can tell you, you can’t unless you allow them.
